New Business Start-Up says Mental Health must be Government Priority in Latest Lockdown

The announcement made last week of a new lockdown during November has prompted new-start business Identity Resource to call on the Government to prioritise mental health support to help people get through the latest set of restrictions.

Gavin Perrett, co-founder of Identity Resource said, “Coronavirus has inflicted a heavy toll on people’s mental health this year, and with a new lockdown announced over the weekend it appears that we are in for a very challenging month both personally and professionally. We have already seen a significant rise in mental health issues, and so our message to the Government is to provide additional support for mental health services so that they, in turn, can provide extra help for people who are in the greatest need.”

Gavin tragically lost both of his parents during the first lockdown, attributing his drive to succeed in their enduring support. And he has dedicated the success of Identity Resource to their memory.

Gavin’s passion for his new venture is borne from his desire to help people when he can based on experiences that have led him to make conscious decisions about the way he lives his life.

The new business, the brainchild of Gavin Perrett and business partner David Liddle, himself a leading light in the Scout movement in London, will focus on personal wellbeing and change, as well as developing people and teams in business to improve productivity.

David said, “I’m delighted that we are able to launch Identity Resource. Gavin and I have worked together on various projects and businesses over the last 25 years, and training and qualifying in the various techniques and therapies has been a steep learning curve and exciting journey for us both.

Gavin Perrett, Creative Director at Identity Resource said, “we’ve been working on this project for some time, and we’re delighted to be launching in the run-up to Christmas. Our aim is to work with individuals and businesses to help them develop their strategies for dealing with difficult challenges and advance their personal development.”

Identity Resource is running a free-to-attend virtual session on 4th November where people can find out more about the support services that Gavin and David offer During the course of the session, the team will be sharing a strategy and series of tools for attendees to take away that will provide food for thought for how to manage some of the day-to-day stressors that people encounter.
