Yorkshire PR agency undertakes month-long charity challenge for business birthday

A fast-growing Leeds-based PR firm is proud to celebrate its second birthday in business.

Maintaining an impressive history of fast growth, MacComms has now grown to a team of four and increased turnover by 145% in year two.

To celebrate, the firm is marking its two-year anniversary with a month-long ‘charity challenge’, whereby the team will take part in fundraising activities every day for a month, in support of their chosen charities, Simon on the Streets and Soft UK.

One of the key fundraising initiatives will include a PR clinic at 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Wednesday 25th April 2017 at Entrepreneurial Spark in Leeds, where businesses are invited to utilise the company’s PR services free-of-charge.

Other charity challenges throughout the month comprise of social media training with the Simon on the Streets team, a ‘People Bingo’ and networking event, sponsored silences, a karaoke battle, themed dress-up days and many more.

The birthday celebrations will conclude at Simon on the Streets’ Rough Diamond Ball on 19th May 2017, where the MacComms team will join other businesses for an evening of networking and entertainment, in support of the West Yorkshire-based charity.

Founded by entrepreneur Ellie MacDonald in 2015, MacComms has assisted more than 50 businesses with their PR and marketing strategies since its inception.

Managing director of MacComms, Ellie MacDonald says:

“I’m thrilled to be able to celebrate my firm’s achievements over the last two years with a great team behind me. From inception, I have been keen to give back to charities and so our month-long charity challenge is a fitting way to continue this to support to local causes and other growing businesses whilst celebrating our birthday. We are very positive about the future of MacComms and can only see us going from strength to strength.”
