MMB Private Lunch Club launches in Sheffield Discussing Issues That Matter For Women In Business In Sheffield
A new quarterly debate forum – and networking opportunity – has been launched in Sheffield city centre by MMB Magazine founder Abbie Coleman.
Following its success across other regions, including Leeds, York and Huddersfield MMB Magazine is excited to announce the launch of the MMB private lunch club at the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield City Centre this May.
Aimed at mid-senior level decision makers in South Yorkshire region, the aim of the event is to bring mid to senior level professionals together across all sectors to chat and discuss topics that matter to them. Previous lunches have included topics such as the “Glass Cliff”, “Why are there not more female leaders” and “Burnout”.
The private lunch club is a two-course afternoon lunch, in a private suite at the Leopold Hotel, Sheffield city centre. We are excited to announce Natalie McMillan will be hosting our lunch on the 20th of May over “Imposter Syndrome”. Natalie McMillan one of our resident bloggers for MMB Magazine will be hosting the lunch club, she is passionate, first and foremost, about supporting women in leadership roles. Having worked her way up to a Chief Executive in a business with 1500 people and £70m turnover, Natalie has recognised the pitfalls and challenges that often means we find ourselves having to work that bit harder than our male counterparts
If it is good enough for Michelle Obama, then it’s good enough for me. Imposter Syndrome!
Most of us experience this in our careers and it can be both a force for good and bad. The lunch will be talking about both sides of the imposter syndrome and whether it is more prevalent in women and what we can do about it.
Previous lunch club hosts have included World Thai Boxer Rachael Mackenzie, Chris Pointon #HelloMyNameIs.
The MMB Private Lunch Club for Sheffield is on the 20th May at 12noon to 2pm.
