£180+ Raised For Children’s Charities
Morgan Jones, a recruitment consultancy in Kent, has raised over £180 for children’s charities. Over the past 3 months they have raised £127.79 for the Silas Pullen Fund raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity in Silas's memory. They also raised £55 for Children in Need by simply rocking up to work in their pyjamas.
Most people have no idea that brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of young people with about 400 children in the UK developing brain tumours each year. As a Kent based company, Morgan Jones had heard of Silas Pullen’s ordeal through the news and through friends and relatives. Therefore, this charity was to always hold a special place in the heart of its employees.
To date the fund has raised £754,190.47 and continues to raise awareness of this devastating killer in young children. With many of the staff being parent’s the unimaginable grief at the thought of this, along with the shocking statistics of its prevalence led to the choice for the charity in its regular dress down Friday.
Continuing the charitable contributions, like millions of people across the UK, Morgan Jones took part in Children In Need. The money raised by the BBC currently supports over 3,000 local charities and projects in communities across the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. This year they achieved an astounding £47,886,382 throughout the night with plenty more donations set to pour in.
Taking sleeping on the job to new heights, the entire team arrived at work in their pyjamas and even participated in the annual Duck Race, the winner being Beakwell Tart! Overall the company raised £55 for the day and had a wonderful time working from the comfort of their PJs!

Diagnosed with a tumour in 2012, Silas Pullen battled the horrific diagnosis with courage, smiles and laughter. Sadly Silas lost his battle just after Christmas 2013. He was 11 years and 9 months old. They provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.
