Digital scrapbook MySunshine secures funding

Bristol, UK. MySunshine, a Bristol-based startup, has secured a seed investment round led by angel investors.

MySunshine is an innovative iOS and Android app built for parents to help them store and share memories of their child’s early years.

The company was founded by Alice and Kieran Fitzsimons, following the birth of their own child. Since the app’s launch, it has grown in popularity and now ranks in the ‘Top 100’ parenting category on the Google Play Store.

The investment will be used to accelerate growth and their international expansion plans.

CEO, Kieran Fitzsimons commented: "We are delighted to announce our second funding round and incredibly appreciate the support of our investors.".

The amount of digital content we store on services such as Google Drive and iCloud is growing dramatically. However, organising and telling the story behind those moments can be difficult. MySunshine allows parents to track milestones, upload photos and videos and share those moments with loved ones on a secure, interactive, social network.

In a time of increasing privacy concerns over social media sites, MySunshine offers a new way for parents to protect and share special moments as their children grow.

The app is free to use, with premium services, including higher storage limits, available.
