Roomzzz Aparthotels gives back to the community.

Roomzzz Aparthotels places great emphasis on supporting charities and reinvesting in local communities so is delighted and proud to announce that it is working with three amazing charities this year who all share similar values:

- Crisis at Christmas

This year Roomzzz Aparthotels is supporting Crisis at Christmas by gifting the use of five apartments during the festive period at Roomzzz London Stratford, for essential workers involved in the charity effort.

Crisis at Christmas opens centres across the UK that bring safety, warmth, companionship and vital services to people at a very difficult time of the year. Unfortunately, due to the economic impact of the pandemic, there has been a huge increase in people experiencing homelessness across the country.

Alice Midgley, Resources Manager at Crisis at Christmas, said: “A huge thank you to Roomzzz Aparthotels for donating five aparthotel rooms for the duration of the Crisis at Christmas event which runs over a two-week period. Declan, one of our co-ordinators who oversees the transport service for both goods and our team of volunteers was absolutely delighted to hear that he would have accommodation at the aparthotel during the Christmas period.”

Declan from Crisis at Christmas added: “Staying at the aparthotel will mean that I have better access to the warehouse which will make a huge difference to my role this year. Most importantly, I will be on hand to support my volunteers on days when public transport is not an option. I won’t have to send so much time travelling after working very long hours and being close to the warehouse will help if things don’t quite go to plan.”

Robert Alley, Chief Operating Officer at Roomzzz Aparthotels, explained: “We’re delighted to be involved with this incredible charity during another year of uncertainty and at a time when some will be experiencing their first Christmas without a home. Crisis at Christmas provides people with a safe place to stay and it’s always heart-warming to hear positive feedback from guests who are so appreciative of all the support the charity offers.”

- Young Lives vs Cancer

Roomzzz Aparthotels is proud to support Young Lives vs Cancer, the UK's leading cancer charity for children, young people (0-25) and their families. The business has established different ways to raise money for the projects the charity is involved in such as online donations, donations made in the aparthotels, employee payroll giving, social media promotions and staff volunteer days.

The charity supports families from the diagnosis stage to dealing with the financial impact of cancer and its treatment. As well as post treatment care, and in some cases bereavement support.

- Hospitality Action

In January 2022, employees will be involved in running, walking or cycling 10K to raise money for Hospitality Action for the second year running.

Throughout the last two years, the hospitality industry has faced so many challenges because of the pandemic and faces a lengthy road to recovery. Hospitality Action works around the clock to provide advice, along with financial and emotional support to those in need.
