Red Bull and NRG seek actors for a new film

The Next Racing Generation (NRG) is seeking young people from diverse backgrounds to take part in their first major Red Bull collaboration.

NRG will work with the racing giants on the production of a film, working title ‘Made in Britain’. The team is now looking for young people to take part in this historic venture as extras.

Through NRG a select number of participants, who must be over 18 years of age, could have the opportunity to be a part of the full production of this film. In addition, there’s an offer of work experience being offered by NRG, to be involved in both the pre and post production editing process.

“I am delighted with this opportunity created by Red Bull, says, Carol Glenn, Founder of NRG. “We’re looking forward to collaborating with them on this incredible venture.”

NRG founded by the UK’s first Black woman to become a licensed race official was formally launched in March. Its vision is to dramatically improve diversity within the Motorsport sector.

Through its initiatives young ambitious people, in particular those from underrepresented groups will be given the opportunity to access the world of Motorsport. They will be given the tools required to take part in all areas from race mechanics, marshalling, E-sports through to Karting in Bambino to F1 rookie status and onwards.

Anyone interested in participating in this venture must register their interest by 30 April 2021. Via NRG’s website – Filming will commence on 24 May 2021.

NRG was conceived by Carol Glenn a Race Official since 1988, following the death of George Floyd in the US and subsequent Black Lives Matter movement. Driven by issues raised through the lack of diversity in Motorsport by F1 World Champion Racing Driver Lewis Hamilton, Carol took on the challenge to change the sector.
