On Sunday, June 16th, children across the country will reserve a special place in the day to recognise their fathers. While many will celebrate with a simple meeting and a drink, Father's Day 2019 could see the continued emergence of gift buying as a way to demonstrate love for Dads, specifically keepsakes.
In the run-up to Father's Day 2019, Oliver & J has reviewed its sales figures to confirm the steady increase in the number of jewellery items being bought by children for their fathers. From classic bands to bracelets, cufflinks and tie clips - there are a specific range of jewellery products which can appeal to Father's Day buyers, says Oliver & J.
Renee Kathuria, owner of Oliver and J Jewellery Ltd, said: "In the fortnight which precedes Father's Day, in previous years our sales team have tracked a marked increase in enquiries from customers eager to find their Dad the perfect gift. Father's Day in the UK is thought to have been influenced by the American Father's Day, which dates back to 1910.
