One Man's Rubbish is Another Man's Treasure: Make Money Selling Unwanted Christmas Gifts Online
Thinking of selling your unwanted Christmas gifts?
The UK’s leading courier comparison site Parcel2Go has launched a helpful guide for those looking to sell unwanted Christmas gifts.
With the rise of online marketplaces and apps including eBay, Depop, and Shpock, Parcel2Go has decided to support those sellers to ensure they get the best deal when shipping their products.
A Parcel2Go spokesman has said: “We have used our industry expertise to put together some simple steps for online sellers and marketplace sellers.”
“It is estimated that around £5bn was spent on unwanted Christmas presents and that more than 70million items were listed on online marketplaces in the days following Christmas itself, so we hope to get as many of those items a quick route to a new home.”
A top tip from the guide advises sellers to do their research and be honest.
The spokesman further added: “While online selling is becoming increasingly popular you still hear the stories about false descriptions in listings.”
“We advise all sellers to be honest and acknowledge any flaws their items might have in their description, while also being positive enough to entice a buyer.”
Parcel2Go suggest to “Paint a picture for the buyer to entice them. Sellers should use their own imagery to not confuse any potential buyers. Ultimately, this means sellers should try and take the best possible photos to outline any potential flaws or problems with any of the items being sold.”
Parcel2Go’s couriers include the likes of DHL, Hermes, Parcel Force, UPS, FedEx and United States Postal Service, among other top international names, enabling delivery to more than 180 countries and territories worldwide.
