Success for UK based start up fintech as Paysend raises an initial £4.3m on crowdfunding extending a £125m valuation
International card fintech business Paysend has attracted
unprecedented investor interest after officially launching on the
Seedrs crowdfunding site on 6 June, hitting 100% of the target
raise within the first three days.
The Paysend original proposition of providing a card to card
system that enables clients to send money globally to over 70
countries without local fees, has already attracted over 800,000
customers around the world.
This crowdfunding investment round targeting £4.2m has already
attracted major investors like Plug and Play, Digital Space
Ventures and Marcorp Fintech, who have already shown their
commitment to other successful newcomers to the payments
sector, including Revolut, Paypal, N26 and Tandem, and exceeded
the target in days.
“We are happy to announce that Paysend’s first crowdfunding
campaign on Seedrs.com has proven a huge success, hitting
100% of the target in less than 72 hours!” says Paysend’s CEO
Ronald Millar. “Crowdfunding worked well for us as we were able
to join the discussion on the campaign’s page, providing
information and answering questions from the investors in real
time, and at the same time share our future plans for our
forthcoming official Global Account and Stablecoin launches”.
In that regard, Paysend has just launched a new corporate website
www.paysendgroup.com to share more news on its innovation
