PILAU - literally open for business!

Indian street food specialist PILAU is working to attract corporate clients wanting something a little different to the standard sandwich lunch.

PILAU Owner, George Pitkeathley, said: “We’re looking to build strong working relationships with businesses who need to feed clients or staff in a way that’s tasty and cost-effective. We offer working lunches and dinners packed with the flavours of Indian street cuisine, across central London.

“Get in touch whether you need catering for a large event or smaller meeting.”

The menu, as featured on the company’s website, is available for all business orders. Organisations place their order online, and food is then delivered to offices, for between five and 500 people.

There is a big focus on quality halal cuisine, with salad and rice bowls plus wraps, all of which are ideal for working lunches, in two different sizes.

Dishes have butter chicken, lamb and bone marrow or paneer as their base. Sauces include coriander yoghurt and mint, or apricot and mango chutney. Side orders range from pickled ginger to bhajis, while desserts include a tempting cardamom-infused custard tart, vanilla bean rice pudding or a salted caramel brownie. Meanwhile, drinks include a traditional mango lassi.

The company launched in 2015 with a pop-up street food offering a regularly changing menu in London’s Soho. Now PILAU hopes to take on another premises in the city and to be running three sites in the capital by mid-2020.

It has expanded rapidly since its launch, with a strong staff team and extensive media attention including a double-page spread in London’s Evening Standard.
