Rapidly growing Welsh business celebrates third birthday with exciting plans for the future

Online pharmacy, PilllTime celebrates their third birthday this month. The Welsh firm, which has seen rapid growth since operations began in 2016, has now revealed a host of exciting plans.

Ahead of the celebrations, PillTime proposes plans of increasing space, new robotics, new automated processes, new revenue streams and significant growth in patient numbers.

PillTime provides a unique solution for patients who struggle to manage their repeat medication. Patients can easily sign up online, and PillTime will dispense their medication into clearly labelled pouches in the order they need to be taken. Pouches are packaged into a box and discreetly delivered to patients’ doors, for free.

Paul Mayberry, the business founder and CEO, said that “the initial aim of setting up PillTime was to help people manage their medications more efficiently, and I’m proud of what the team has achieved to date and very excited about the year ahead.”

PillTime has recently doubled its dispensary facility space in Avonmouth to accommodate new robots which will significantly increase production capacity. PillTime has also relocated its head office to Mamhilad, Pontypool which is home to its administration and customer service staff.

A patient portal and a new website are just two of several exciting projects to be launching shortly.

Leighton Humphreys, CFO, stated “We are the nominated pharmacy of c.11,000 patients, and recently achieved record c.40,000 items processed in a month. This ranked us in the top 3 of pharmacies in the UK. We are putting the final building blocks in place to allow us to significantly scale up the business and continue to improve our service to our patients.”
