David Wilson joins new hospitality tech startup eDrinks

David Wilson has joined the board of directors at ‘eDrinks’, a new hospitality tech startup focused on digital drink vouchers redeemable in pubs and bars.

Its flagship product is an app called “Myround”, which allows users to send and receive drink gifts (eDrinks) from friends, family or even a stranger.

David Wilson is a very familiar name in the hospitality, beer and pub sector. He has dedicated the last 15 years to the industry as a consultant to the WSTA and until very recently held the position of Director of Public Affairs at the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA).

David offered his thoughts on why he joined the young startup;

‘I am delighted to join the Board and support the development of eDrinks. Since Moshe introduced me to the concept in 2018 I have been enthusiastic about its potential and I am pleased to be coming on board at this exciting stage of the eDrinks business.’

Bringing his invaluable experience and extensive network, David will support eDrinks with hands-on engagement spanning business strategy, growth and fundraising.

Founder and CEO of eDrinks, Moshe David is delighted with the new relationship commenting;

‘We’re on a mission to help the hospitality industry harness the power of social tech; reimagining social drinking along the way. David was the first person I approached to pitch the eDrinks concept to and I immediately understood the enormous value of having someone of such influence involved in our startup.

‘So I am obviously now delighted that he has agreed to come on board at such a pivotal time for the local Pub and offer a hands-on approach to support our vision with insight, strategy, network and growth. The eDrinks team is truly honoured to have him in our corner.

Asked to explain the MyRound app in a nutshell, Moshe offered;

‘An astonishing 911 million single greeting cards were bought in the UK in the last year, many of which were via a website or app. We believe that same sentiment applies to the currency of a drink between friends and community also. We invite members of the public to help us on our mission to convert even a small fraction of that 911 million into live drinks at the bar and lend much needed support to our pubs.”

eDrinks is currently crowdfunding. You can join in the campaign here:
