Katherine McNamara, Lucien Laviscount, Ronny Chieng & Lindsey Broad Join Victoria Justice & Matthew Daddario in the cast of “PUSH”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New York, NY, February 25, 2020.

Katherine McNamara, Lucien Laviscount, Ronny Chieng and Linsey Broad have joined the cast of feature film PUSH, which began principal photography in New York City on Thursday February 13th (following a day of shooting holiday exteriors with Victoria Justice and Matthew Daddario in early January).

Push is a suspenseful, twisty and fun independent feature film, a contemporary look at the challenges of trust in relationships in an age of instant communications. PUSH is as much an “emotional thriller” as romantic comedy; the combination making it a perfect date night movie.

PUSH follows gallery owner Brooke (Justice (Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Victorious)), whose marriage to Owen (Daddario (Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, Shadowhunters)) a heart-throb local newscaster seems perfect from the outside but there are visible cracks at the seams. It doesn’t help that Brooke feels a strong, mutual attraction with her first solo artist Angar Doyle (Laviscount (Scream Queens, Katy Keene)), an Irish wunderkind artist and lover of women. When alluring graduate student Amy (McNamara (Arrow, The Stand, Shadowhunters) enters their universe the story becomes tangled and unpredictable. Brooke and Owen’s best friends Adam (Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians, The Daily Show) and Eleanor (Broad (The Office, 21 Jump Street, In the Dark), noted New York divorce lawyers, try their best to help as the action unfolds.

PUSH is directed by Brian DeCubellis, from a script adapted by him, Kristen Lazarian and K.S. Bruce based on Lazarian’s award-winning play of the same name. PUSH is produced by Steve Klinsky, Brian DeCubellis and Tom Guida and is a production of Steve Klinsky’s Untravelled Worlds and DeCubellis Films, which produced 2016’s “Manhattan Night” alongside Adrien Brody and his production arm Fable House, starring Brody and Yvonne Strahovski, from an adapted screenplay written and directed by Brian DeCubellis.

“As soon as I read this script, I knew I wanted to be a part of this project and ensemble. Push is a modern take on relationships and fidelity which is something mostly everyone can relate to. It definitely will get conversations started about when does cheating become cheating? Does it start with the intention or does it begin with the act ? Very grateful to be working with this talented cast and crew on this exciting project” – Victoria Justice

“I’ve been attached to PUSH for over a year and am so excited to see this film come to fruition. It provides a very interesting take on modern fidelity and raises questions about what it means for all of us given that the nature of relationships is changing in the modern era —without fully accusing or exonerating any one character. I’m excited to work with Matt Daddario again - getting to create with people you enjoy and respect is always a treat.” – Katherine McNamara

Summing up his vision for the film, DeCubellis added “It’s a rollercoaster where mystery, romance, drama and humor converge. I’m just thrilled to work with these stunningly talented actors on a project that we already see excites their dedicated worldwide fan base.”

Other PUSH credits include:

Co-Producer Ged Dickersin (The Kindergarten Teacher, Skin). Executive Producers Erika Hampson (Late Night, Like Father) Steven Wegner (Blade Runner 2049, Dolphin Tale) and Corey Trent Ackerman (Blood Vessel)
