R10 Labs Skincare Wins NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Award
Yorkshire based R10 Labs Skincare has announced today that it has won the prestigious NatWest Award in the Health and Beauty Entrepreneur category.
R10 Labs Skincare was founded by Kal Bulbul as the only 100% natural origin British male skincare solution.
Although Kal was unable to finish school due to a life-threatening auto-immune skin condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), he had a curious mind from a young age. As a teenager, he forged his way by creating and selling custom computing solutions and parts, which resulted in a business with a £150k annual turnover.
As his skin condition worsened, however, Kal decided to focus his talents on finding out what was causing his illness and he eventually determined that it was his skincare products.
As he tried to find alternatives, Kal realised that no high-quality affordable skincare products were available. With the help of a holistic practitioner, Kal began testing combinations that were better formulated for his skin and found that his condition disappeared.
Over time, Kal regained full skin function and his male friends without HS also raved about the products. It was at this point that Kal decided that he would have to move into the cosmetics sector and provide reasonably priced, high-quality skincare products even if that meant disrupting the industry and proving that a new model of skincare chemistry, the proprietary LiquiCrystal technology, was feasible and highly effective.
