Join the giant community litter picking event in Hull

A community litter picking event is happening on June 4th at Noddle Hill Nature Reserve in Bransholme. The event dubbed, The Big Clean Up Hull is set to transform environmental beauty spot and remove the build-up of waste in the area.

The event is being run by Hull-based recyclers ReWorked (www.reworked.com), who are vowing to recycle every single piece of plastic collected on the day. The waste will be made into children's chairs, planters, mud kitchens & shelters for local schools.

The nature reserve itself is located in the Bransholme area of the city. You can see various species of wildlife throughout the year, with masses of birds & an active fishing lake on-site. It's a stunning spot for a leisurely walk, but sadly trash is creating an eyesore & threatening the health of its animal population.

Izzie Glazzard, ReWorked said "During lockdown, I was walking through new areas of the city I'd never previously explored and discovered Noddle Hill Nature Reserve. The area is stunning and filled with wildlife, but also covered in litter."

The Big Clean Up event has been organised on Friday, June 4th, during the school half-term as a family-friendly event. The ReWorked team will be on-hand between 12PM and 3PM to provide insight into the recycling process, help clean up, provide litter picking equipment and remove the waste at the end.
