Two London entrepreneurs featured among 10 successful business partnerships list

Real Business Magazine has featured two inner-city London entrepreneurs, Tim Campbell and Derin Cag, as a great example of a business partnership. The successful pair (one a former winner of the Apprentice) co-founded Twitter-based company Marketing Runners, and are thrilled to be included alongside famous partnerships, such as Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page.

Tim and Derin co-founded their start-up to provide specialist support for businesses wanting to improve their brand awareness and engagement through online media. Their passion for the project, along with their combined experience and expertise, has culminated in a dynamic partnership, with Marketing Runners quickly establishing itself a frontrunner in digital marketing.

Tim Campbell MBE, the first ever winner of the Apprentice with Lord Alan Sugar, and now co-founder of Marketing Runners explains, "Too often entrepreneurs are positioned as alchemistic mythical people who are mavericks bordering on madness ignoring the vast differences between micro business owners and the modern day business icons like Sir Richard Branson and Elizabeth Holmes."

Derin Cag, co-founder of Marketing Runners, describes the secrets of great partnerships as far less mystical: "Through Marketing Runners we see many SME entrepreneurs who are ‘normal’, tenacious, hardworking people who are just like you and me, albeit with a clear passion and focus on achieving their goals. The traits that we see in the vast majority of the business owners we engage with are tenacity, risk management and infectious leadership."

This partnership looks set to create great things for the duo. Their startup, Marketing Runners, uses untapped and targeted digital campaigns to help businesses grow their profiles, generate leads and improve their social media presence. "We think that businesses and individuals could use social media much more than they are now." says Derin Cag.

Tim Campbell agrees, "It is great to tell people what you are having for dinner at a restaurant but with targeted campaigns and clear objectives, social media can really boost interactions between sellers and buyers and connect individuals to like-minded people."
