Mavis Amankwah celebrates 18 years in business with the launch of a business app
Mumtrepreneur, Mavis Amankwah, launches networking and lifestyle app, Women Like Me, to celebrate her 18 years in business.
18 years ago, Amankwah started her first business, Rich Visions. Years and multiple successful businesses later, Amankwah has utilised the contacts she has built in the industry to create a business directory and social app, helping to connect women in business around the world.
The Women Like Me app (WLM) is a community-based platform, dedicated to connecting women and sharing lifestyle and business tips, such as how to run a business whilst still feeling fabulous. The WLM app is open to both men and women, helping businesses to promote, advertise and sell their services.
The launch of WLM follows a successful August 2019 pre-launch in Miami, Florida. The app was met with great critical acclaim and has since been tweaked in response to the feedback from the Miami audience. App founder Amankwah notes how the feedback from savvy businesswomen in Miami helped shape the app to what it is today.
On her mobile app launch, Amankwah said: "I have been running several businesses for over 18 years, and over the years have unconsciously developed a huge list of personal, social and business contacts. There is not a day that goes by without someone asking me for a particular contact or phone number, I want to be able to share a platform, inform and connect people with just a click of a button. With this mind and other aspirations, this led me to create the Women Like Me Directory App to connect women across the globe. As a woman and entrepreneur, I am keen on helping women fulfil their business aspirations."
Users can download the app for free, create a personal profile and interact with other businesses and professionals on the platform. Platinum packages are available which include features such as live streaming, business polls and a place in the WLM business directory. Other platinum benefits include a spotlight in Amankwah's weekly newsletter and the WLM 'Business of the Week' blog.
