Cumbria Business Finalist in Prestigious Award

It has just been announced that Cumbria based Robustrack Ltd is a finalist for the Agriculture, Forestry & Farming category of the Cumbria Family Business Awards 2019.

Robustrack beat strong competition with a record number of businesses entering the awards from across the county.

Now in its third year, the Cumbria Family Business Awards has celebrated some incredible family businesses over the years, including recognisable brands Bells of Lazonby, Pioneer and Herdy but has also honoured smaller but equally as brilliant businesses like Miles-Moore Ceramics, The Moody Cow and Elton Finance. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by celebrity chefs The Hairy Bikers and will take place at the Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa on Friday 8th March.

“The whole Robustrack team couldn’t be more delighted to have been shortlisted for CFBA 2019. It was an incredible experience last year and a fantastic event night which was made even better by our ‘Going Places’ award. 2019 here we come!”

One of the co-creators of the Awards, Sophia Newton said: “We were inundated with some incredible entries this year, and Janett, Sue and I were burning the midnight oil to get through them as they came in right up to the wire. The judges had extremely difficult decisions to make so the finalists should be extremely proud of themselves! This year has yet again seen a record number of entrants and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the strength and diversity of applications.”

Head Judge and main event sponsor Graham Lamont, MD of award-winning family run chartered accountants, tax and business advisory firm Lamont Pridmore said: "Following another record-breaking year, I want to thank all of the family businesses who entered and congratulate all the finalists. I look forward to meeting them all at the upcoming Meet the Judges sessions. There is a real family business spirit in Cumbria and as a family firm, Lamont Pridmore understands the challenges and rewards that working with family brings. We are thrilled to support these awards and celebrate their success and contribution that family businesses make to this vibrant county.”

The finalists will now each meet with the specially selected panel of expert judges across two days of interviews before the judges make their final decisions. The winners will be announced at the glittering ceremony in March. You can find out more information about the awards at www.cumbriafamilybusinessawards.uk
