Wiltshire Businessman in Line for National Entrepreneurship Award

Cameron Readman, a Salisbury resident, is a finalist in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, a national awarding body recognising Britain’s brightest and best entrepreneurs. Readman has been shortlisted amongst only three others in the South West for Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year and will face selection first in the regional finals to progress to the National Finals.

Readman is being recognised primarily for his work as founder of Rogue Events Limited, an immersive events production company whose flagship event is the internationally renowned Bothwell School of Witchcraft, an immersive wizarding school experience that takes place over 4 days in a real-life English castle!

During the 2019-20 period for which his efforts have been noted, Readman produced two Bothwell events; wrote, directed and produced Murder on the 10:16, an immersive murder mystery taking place on an actual steam train; wrote and published his first novel “A Trial of Witches”; and successfully negotiated an international merger of Bothwell with the European College of Wizardry, to mention a few milestones. Needless to say, he has been busy.

“I locked myself away and worked hard, it’s an honour to have those efforts recognised like this,” Readman says, “to actually win the award would mean so much, especially as I am currently preparing to unveil a new business, Steel Viking Fitness, right here in Salisbury. The award, I hope, will help me to step up my game and reach a whole new tier of partners and investors in me and my businesses so I’m able to achieve more and do more for the local area.”

Founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, Francesca James, said: “Given what we’ve seen over the past few months, the 2020 edition of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards is arguably the most important. Now, more than ever, it’s vital that we celebrate the achievements of the country’s entrepreneurs and their determination in the face of such adversity. I want to send my congratulations to each and every single entrepreneur who has made it to the shortlist this year, and I wish them the very best of luck for the regional finals.”

The regional finals take place on the 23rd of September and we wish Cameron the best of luck!
