Back to the land for new glamping consultancy

Inspired by one of the world’s most renowned 19th Century designers, new glamping development company Morel & Co will officially launch at the UK’s dedicated glamping event, The Glamping Show (20th to 22nd September) at the NEAC Stoneleigh Park, near Birmingham.

The company’s team specialises in creating alternative buildings and bespoke glamping accommodation using traditional skills with a modern twist. Founded by glamping consultant Kate Morel, they offer a new concept for land and business owners who wish to diversify into glamping, with either a turn-key service guiding them through the process or selective support.

Kate said: “I feel immensely fortunate to know so many experienced, gifted people, and even more so to be working with them. We’re all excited about our new venture and creating imaginative new developments.

“As far as we’re aware, no-one currently offers this breadth of consultancy and design service in the glamping industry”.

Inspiration for the unique structure of Morel & Co has come from Kate's global travels and from William Morris, founder of the Arts and Crafts movement. He established ‘Morris & Co’ in 1875 and produced beautiful items through a collection of traditional craftsmen at a time when mass production was taking hold in the UK.

However, it’s not all about consultancy and design, the team’s combined expertise is backed up by understanding that more of us need, and want, to engage with the natural world, giving rise to the phrase “Back to the Land” for the launch of this exciting venture.

Morel & Co also offers financial advice and marketing support for clients, as well as unique finishing touches, offering a complete, co-ordinated service to glamping entrepreneurs.

Kate continued: “Our knowledge and bespoke structure ability gives us unrivalled discernment and flexibility when creating a project concept. We can put forward ideas and structure designs that suit the brief, rather than making the brief fit us”.

Kate and team members, including planning consultants and designer-builders, will be available for discussion and enquiries at the Glamping Show on Stand 83, for the duration of the three-day event.

About Morel & Company:

Morel & Co weaves together a unique collaboration of experienced and imaginative individuals, bringing an organic, holistic approach to alternative builds and glamping developments.

An inspiration for the creation of Morel & Co was Arts & Crafts founder and designer, William Morris, and his company ‘Morris & Co’, established in 1875. They produced beautiful things through a collective of traditional craftsmen, in an era when mass production was just taking hold in the UK. Some of their designs are still in use today, licensed through Liberty of London and Sandersons.

Whilst we can but admire Mr Morris’ achievements, his simple values of aesthetics with ethics, nicely sums up our collaboration of specialists and craftsmen.
