Cambridge yoga studio open for business following recent expansion
Cambridge-based yoga centre Satyam Yoga has recently expanded its premises, meaning it has improved the service it offers customers.
The studio opened its doors in 2016, and expansion has allowed it to become the only centre in Cambridgeshire offering the deeply relaxing floatation therapy. At the same time, there is a new wellness area and a much bigger area on the ground floor for practising yoga. In all there are three fully equipped yoga rooms.
The centre also offers Pilates, fitness, mindfulness and meditation, supporting clients to build strength, stability and flexibility in both body and mind.
Owner of Satyam Cambridge Joanna Darking says: “I wanted to offer the kind of genuine yoga experience that wasn’t available at the time, and I really think we’ve been able to achieve that at Satyam.”
Regular workshops are offered on a range of interesting and inspiring topics, alongside classes in Pilates, fitness and yoga for those with reduced mobility, and sessions for babies, children and teens.
Styles and traditions of yoga offered at Satyam vary from beginners’ and gentle sessions such as Restorative Yoga which focus on calming and centring the mind, to more physically demanding styles such as Ashtanga Vinyasa, Forest and Jivamukti Yoga.
Various payment options mean customers can pay for 10 classes or unlimited sessions with a monthly pass, among other choices.
This ancient eastern discipline, which goes back thousands of years, is associated with a number of benefits, including reduced stress levels, improved wellbeing plus enhanced physical health. In the twenty first century, its appeal has rocketed, with numerous celebrity devotees.
