Shaken Udder Goes Back to School for 111% Local Sales Growth
Shaken Udder milkshakes is enjoying a massive 111% local sales increase, driven by the number of high schools, universities and colleges throughout East Anglia now selling its tasty shakes.
With Government guidelines continually asking manufacturers to lower sugar levels for children's products, Shaken Udder’s range, which includes school approved flavours (less than 5% added sugar) are proving hugely popular and provide a wholesome drink to fuel learning.
“This is becoming a huge part of our business,” explains Shaken Udder co-founder, Jodie Farran. “Some schools are taking in excess of 100 cases a week (about 600 bottles)! The feedback we're getting is that students like the fact they are wholesome and healthy, but they are also a bit grown up.
“I think the success is also due to all the new legislation about sugar. Shaken Udder is more interesting than a bottle of juice or water, plus it gives students a more substantial snack, not just a thirst-quencher,” she adds.
Jodie also explains that, from the school's point of view, Shaken Udder are shelf-ready products that are easy to display and don't take any time for staff to make or serve. “We've also found that school catering managers highly praise our friendly and efficient local team and likewise, we value the support of our local, independent customers,” adds Jodie.
