Sci-fi short film 'Blank Shores' starring BAFTA-winning Georgina Campbell
Shoot You is pleased to announce 'Blank Shores', a short film being co-produced with the BFI and Sixty Clicks Productions. Written and directed by a member of the Shoot You team, Alex Kyrou, the film is a character-driven sci-fi/drama of a woman searching for her missing partner, and the subsequent reconnection in his subconscious.
The script won the Grand Prize in the Vortex Horror/Sci-Fi category at the Flickers' Rhode Island International Screenplay Competition, as well as being a finalist at The 2018 Global Script Challenge at the Oaxaca FilmFest, and the Southern California Screenplay Competition.
The leading role of Emily is played by Georgina Campbell. In 2015 she won the Best Actress Television BAFTA for her performance in ‘Murdered By My Boyfriend’. She is also known for starring in ‘Black Mirror: Hang the DJ’, ‘King Arthur, Legend of the Sword’, ‘One Of Us’, ‘Broadchurch’ and ‘Flowers’.
James Farrar takes the role of Connor, Emily’s partner, who’s searching for a way to move forward with his life after the tragic loss of their daughter. Gary Beadle steps into the shoes of Lenny, the enigmatic man behind Solace. Jackie Knowles plays the role of Grace, Lenny’s assistant; while Davina Moon plays Inspector Brady, who Emily turns to in her desperation to find Connor.
Filming wrapped on the 22nd September 2019, and currently the film is in post-production with an anticipated completion in the first quarter of 2020.
