September brings more growth for Sleek Events

August went out with a bang as Sleek Events announced its third year of over 100% growth reaching £6.7million turnover. But they seem to be storming through September too – making it into the Top 50 UK event agencies, shortlisted in two categories of the Best Business Women Awards 2018 and, this week, welcoming three people to their team.

Caris Grant joins as Operations Director, Izzie Lachecki as Marketing & Events Coordinator, and Alexandra Schnabl as Office Manager – all of them citing Sleek Events’ team culture as the reason they were so keen to accept the positions. Caris says, “Apart from the opportunity to work with Jennifer and her super lovely team, the main reason I wanted to join is because it’s clear that Sleek Events is a growing and innovative company, with plenty of potential for the future. The company and its reach into the events industry has seen exponential growth over the last few years, so who wouldn’t want to be part of such a fast-growing company and entrepreneurially-spirited team. I’m really excited to help the company continue to develop and grow.”

This is Izzie’s first full-time role in events and may find it slightly different from when she was an extra in a Harry Potter movie! Her degree in psychology and communication skills are just some of the reasons why Sleek Events’ founder Jennifer Davidson thought Izzie would be a great fit for the team, “I’ve been lucky to find applicants with ambition and an outgoing nature as well as the right skills and expertise for the three roles we have just filled. Our team understand the pressures that naturally come with working in events but they know I’m committed to ensuring they enjoy work here and they’ve loved the idea of our Wellness Fridays. Last Friday we had Mocha the spaniel in the office to give us puppy cuddles and happy Friday feelings!”

Alexandra is definitely pleased that her new team love dogs as she has a rescue Golden Retriever at home with her husband, “I fully support small businesses and was eager to join Sleek Events as a boutique agency make a big splash. I have experience in events but my primary role will be to make sure the office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis – even if we do have the odd day when our office becomes a doggy daycare!”
