St Peter's Brewery Wins Four MSC Students for Internship

As part of their MSc Entrepreneurial Management Post Graduate course at Anglia Ruskin University, four MSc students will be learning the ropes at St Peter's Brewery in South Elmham for ten weeks this summer.

Designed to give them hands-on experience in a vibrant business setting, the four students will take the lead on a particular project and work with the St Peter's Brewery team to develop their ideas and confidence in industry.

Having beaten off competition from Crisp Maltings and Greene King to acquire the students, St Peter's Brewery staff are looking forward to inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

“The team is very excited to be welcoming these students into the fold for ten weeks. This is a great opportunity to not only help these students gain insight in a business environment, but also for us to speak to them about their ideas and thoughts,” explains St Peter's Brewery CEO, Steve Magnall.

“At the moment we are discussing what the students will be working on. We expect to give them specific projects that they can get their teeth stuck into.”

[Notes To Editors]

St. Peter’s Brewery is based at St. Peter South Elmham, near Bungay in Suffolk. The brewery itself was built in 1996 and is housed in an attractive range of traditional former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter’s Hall.

Siting the brewery at St. Peter’s was ideal because of the excellent water quality from its own deep bore-hole. Locally malted barley is used, together with Kentish hops, to produce a range of classical English cask-conditioned ales and superb bottled beers.

St Peter's brews ‘traditional’ beers (bitters, mild etc.), as well as some more unusual beers such as honey porter and fruit beer.
