Stagecoach Performing Arts rise in the ranks of esteemed league table

Stagecoach Performing Arts is celebrating after being named as one of the UK’s top franchise opportunities. From hundreds of entries across every sector, Stagecoach has been ranked 12th overall in the prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) – a title it will hold for the duration of 2023. Rising six places from its 18th place ranking last year, Stagecoach fought off tough competition, securing its place as the UK’s top performing arts franchise.

The EF100, established in 2017 in association with HSBC, recognises the sector’s brightest businesses. A panel of 24 specialist, independent judges, rank each applicant according to eight core criteria; from their size, growth and ambition to their contribution to their community and the way they embrace innovation.

Andy Knights, CEO of Stagecoach Performing Arts told us, “We’re delighted to have risen to a higher EF100 ranking this year. After a challenging year, this achievement recognises Stagecoach’s exemplary service to our clients, and the business opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs too. The success is celebrated by our network of more than 300 franchisees, who are all so dedicated to improving the lives of young people through the performing arts.”

Stagecoach schools provide a thriving, nurturing and supportive environment for creative learning. Through an exciting and varied framework of teaching and development, franchisees have helped to unlock the potential of more than a million students since it opened in 1988. “After more than 30 years in the franchising industry, it’s encouraging to know that we are still regarded as the top children’s performing arts opportunity. We have big ambitions for growth and with the expertise of our network, we’re confident we will meet our future goals. We encourage franchisees to play to their strengths and we focus on providing the best possible environment for success, supporting franchisees as they build and grow a profitable business. I’m so proud of the dedication of the entire Stagecoach team.”

“We feel that Stagecoach Performing Arts has truly earned their place in the Elite Franchise Top 100 list,” said Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise. “This definitive Top 100 ranking exemplifies the very best of franchisors in the UK. Each year, the ranking becomes more competitive, and this year has been no exception for our panel of industry-leading judges.”

“During judging, we take into account entrants’ sales and growth figures as well as the training and support systems in place for their network of franchisees. This year, brands were also judged on any measures they initiated to survive the damaging aftereffects of the pandemic, along with how they would continue to grow their brand during the current financial crisis. Securing a place in the top 100 is a testament to all that Stagecoach Performing Arts has achieved over the past year,” added Anita Roberts, Franchise Director at HSBC UK.

About Stagecoach Performing Arts: Over the years we have seen more than one million students unlock their potential, which is something they will value for their whole life. At Stagecoach we teach our students so much more than how to sing, dance and act. We help them blossom into well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace life and all its opportunities. With nearly 30 years’ experience in teaching the performing arts, we understand how to get the best out of our young performers. We delight in seeing our students have fun, make friends, learn new skills and discover hidden talents. We encourage them to take ‘safe risks’ through rehearsals and performance, which brings out a willingness to take on new challenges. None of us know what the future holds, which is why it’s so important for today’s children to be resilient, brave and self-assured. Furthermore you can rest assured that your child is in safe hands as we adhere to the strictest child safety policies.
