Stagecoach reveals pioneering franchise recruitment video

Children’s services franchise, Stagecoach Performing Arts, has paired with Enhance Media’s HireCast, a digital recruitment content specialist, to create an interactive video designed to strengthen its franchise recruitment process. The video is the first of its kind across the franchise industry, using several interactive features that make the video both engaging and informative - aiming to inspire franchise prospects.

The interactive video, released on Tuesday 12th April, has been created to persuasively show the advantages of being a franchisee and why more than 300 franchisees have chosen to invest in Stagecoach. As a children’s performing arts provider, the network believes it’s important that the brand’s personality and values are reflected in any recruitment effort. This step is being taken to ensure the brand is recruiting suitable prospects with passions that align with its own, as well as attracting those with the right mindset to grow a successful franchise.

“As a performing arts franchise, we are a vibrant company, and those in our network are always great characters with a real passion for children’s enrichment – we’re excited to ignite more opportunities for these types of people,” said CEO, Andy Knights. “Bringing the right people into our network is vital to us. This new video easily explains to franchise prospects what to expect from being a Stagecoach franchisee – allowing them to quickly decide whether our investment opportunity will suit them as well as it does our existing franchisees.”

Several franchisees were involved in the creation and filming of the video - testimonials, demonstrations and clips from Stagecoach schools in action have all been included. Stagecoach wanted to involve as many real elements of its network into the video as possible, demonstrating the franchisees’ and students’ genuine satisfaction and love for what they do.

Mark Heslop, franchisee and Principal of the Leeds Morley and Mirfield territories, contributed to the new video, talking about his experience from when he was considering becoming a franchisee, all the way to recently investing in an additional territory.

“Being a Stagecoach franchisee is so rewarding, you get to inspire and develop the next generation of performers, challenging them at every level and watching them enjoying their passion on a weekly basis. It’s amazing as you get to grow a business and make a living whilst doing something you love. The network feels like you’re part of a family - they’re able to support you with anything at every turn, and this video is just another excellent example of that,” said Mark.

The video has been a long-term project, with numerous members of the Stagecoach network putting their heads together to plan and carefully craft the new, innovative tool. Franchisees were asked what they wanted to see in the video, with responses including: ‘the rewarding nature of the role as a Principal’ and ‘how Stagecoach embraces the things I love, such as performing, the long-term building of confidence, celebrating the achievements of others and the community’s feeling of togetherness’.

The video’s interactive elements include a number of overlays, giving supplementary explanations of key questions any potential Stagecoach franchisee might have about the franchise model. Text and image slideshows as well as infographics also offer additional key information, such as advice on operations and how to scale the business. All this combined allows the video’s viewers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the brand and demonstrate the opportunity available to grow a successful franchise with the help and expert advice from the Support Office and Regional Franchise Managers.

The network is hopeful the move will encourage a greater volume of prospects to consider Stagecoach. “The aim of the video is to inspire imagination in the viewer and take them on the journey from prospect to Stagecoach franchisee,” explained Andy. “By the end of the video, potential franchisees will know if Stagecoach is truly for them, as the whole thing brilliantly reflects our brand and the people within our network. I’m extremely proud of everyone involved.”
