New Release Gins Available at Stirling Gin Festival

The 8th Stirling Gin Festival takes place on Saturday 5th November at the Golden Lion Hotel in central Stirling and there will be lots of exclusive or new release gins for guests to try. The annual event is part of this year’s Stirling SpiritFEST – a 10 day festival of Scottish Spirits which kicks off this weekend with the Stirling Whisky Festival.

The popular Gin Festival has a wide range of craft distilleries attending including Independent drinks distributor Indie Brands who will be bringing Silent Pool to the Gin Festival for the first time. Made in Surrey with 24 botanicals, Silent Pool Gin is an award-winning classic London Dry with a contemporary twist. Coming all the way from the outer Hebrides, Isle of Harris Distillery will be at the Gin Festival for the first time on Saturday 5th November with their popular sugar kelp infused Harris gin.

Edinburgh-based Rutland Square is the world’s first Chai-spiced gin and will be a new brand attending this year’s gin festival. Named after the home of the Indian Consulate in Edinburgh, Rutland Square, the premium craft gin draws inspiration from the East and includes a blend of 14 of the finest botanicals including Oolong white tea, giving the gin a sweet and unique taste.

A new product for this year is Fassfern’s Highland Gin. Enjoy a taste of the Highlands with their heather and pine infused creation. With citrus notes of Orange and Lemon, Grains of Paradise, Cardamom and a hint of exotic spice from Pink Peppercorn it’s one not to be missed.

Purist Gin, the multi-award-winning Glaswegian gin company, have just released their latest limited-edition bottle of Purist Art gin. With every new batch made they feature an independent Scottish artist on the label. For Christmas 2022 their gin will feature a piece called "Tinsel Tango" by renowned Scottish artist Alexander Millar. “This is a huge collaboration for us and there are only #495 bottles available so it's a huge reason for visitors to come and see us at the gin festival!"

Stirling Distillery will launch their seasonal, apple and cinnamon infused spicy Winter Gin at this year’s gin festival. This gin is one for the cold nights to keep you warm perfectly served in a gin and tonic garnished with orange peel and cinnamon stick or mixed with spicy ginger beer or in a gin hot toddy.

Stirling SpiritFEST runs from the 28th October through to the 6th November and hosts the Stirling whisky and gin festivals on back to back weekends. There are also a range of drinks-based events at venues across Stirling mid-week including a Spooky Halloween gin tasting ghost walks at Stirling Old Town Jail, an intimate whisky tasting and glass blowing event with Angels’ Share Glass on 1st November and a rum masterclass from Matugga Rum Distillery on 3rd November to name a few. Full details of the events taking place can be found at www.stirlingspiritfest.com.

About Stirling Distillery

Stirling Distillery We wanted to bring something unique to the ever growing world of Scottish Gin. In our recipe we feel we have achieved that goal. The result is a spirit with a big nose and very satisfying profile, whether neat or with a premium tonic of your choice. Our core gin is infused with hand picked Stirlingshire nettles, basil, lemon and orange peel, juniper and angelica root. This forms the base to our other products, all distilled at Stirling Distillery. As a result, our nearly navy strength Battle Strength Gin packs a mighty punch, while the Folklore Collection uses local fruits and herbs to create our range of gin liqueurs. Our entire range is inspired by the mythologies and history surrounding Stirlingshire and its beautiful castle. In 2019 we opened our doors at the foot of Stirling Castle. We are the first gin distillery in the beautiful city of Stirling and are proud to use local ingredients to create our outstanding Scottish spirits.
