Survivor - the alcohol health tech startup backed by ex-Vice President of Red Cross enters final stretch of successful crowdfunding campaign

The colossal effect of alcohol consumption on productivity, not to mention health, can be difficult to accept in a world where social and professional lives often collide. As such, Survivor is a tool for busy professionals to mitigate some of the damage moderate alcohol consumption has, and help balance social life, productivity, and well-being.

A new dietary supplement, Survivor contains a unique nutrient blend specifically targeting metabolic functions impacted when drinking. Uniquely, Survivor is designed to be taken while consuming alcohol, in a convenient capsule format suited for busy lifestyles.

Earlier this month, Survivor launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance a large scale research study and growth into new markets. Offering discounted product in return for contributions, within 36 hours Survivor had raised over 60% of its target, was ranked 4th worldwide on Indiegogo’s Trending campaigns, 1st in Health & Fitness, and was selected as an Indiegogo ‘Team Favourite’. Survivor has passed its target and is now overfunding, with the campaign set to end on Friday 26th April.

There has never been a better time for Survivor: it has been reported* that the average Brit loses a shocking 24 days annually due to alcohol consumption. This goes beyond binge drinking: alcohol is damaging from the first glass, as the latest metastudy on alcohol has concluded - so even moderate alcohol consumption has far-reaching consequences.

Founder Laurence Cardwell’s frustration at the contradictory expectations of modern life - to be a productivity powerhouse at work, get sufficient sleep, and maintain a normal social life - gave birth to Survivor.

Finding and identifying solutions which could prove beneficial brought Laurence to Professor Dr. Gertrude Kubiena, an ex-Red Cross Vice President. From her extensive knowledge came Survivor’s three key ingredients: dihydromyricetin (DHM), Puerariae lobatae Flos, and Milk Thistle. Survivor is the only product on the market to provide this potent combination of three herbal extracts used traditionally to promote liver health.

The technical formulation was further developed to include a blend of vitamins, minerals and electrolytes under the expert guidance of Simon Williams, food scientist and director of one of Europe's leading nutraceutical providers. This combination of Eastern tradition with Western science led to the formulation we see in Survivor today.

Laurence Cardwell says; “We’re delighted to be overfunding - every extra contribution through the Indiegogo site helps us push what is usually expected of a food supplement through research: to demonstrate what Survivor is really capable of - something beyond a short-term solution to morning after misery.”

Getting involved is easy - visit Survivor’s crowdfunding site and pledge your support to get some deeply discounted product. Check out their highly lucrative referral programme - just for sharing a link, potentially earn hundreds of pounds of free Survivor, and the grand prize - 2x Aston Martin All Access Tickets to a German Touring Car Masters series race worth ca. €1,500 each, escorted by DTM and F-3 racer, Ferdinand von Habsburg plus £500 worth of Survivor.
