The Mental Cyclist - mind training for cyclists

The Mental Cyclist is a book and journal for cyclists that offers accessible, practical and powerful mind training. It's designed to inspire cyclists of every age, ability and ambition to do more on their bikes - and love every ride.

CYCLING IS AWESOME, BUT...

It can also be tough, especially when progressing from an occasional commute to the hills, or from a Sunday ride to a big sportive. But the barriers that really hold us back are neither physical nor logistical. They're psychological. You don't need a better bike or bigger quads - you need to change the way you think about your cycling.

Support for cyclists is overwhelmingly focused on physical training – work harder, suffer more, lose weight, endure pain. This doesn’t suit everyone, and skews towards an old-school macho approach - hardly in line with the massive increase in women embracing cycling. The Mental Cyclist offers an alternative proposition: upgrade your brain, not your bike. When you understand what's really going in your head when you ride, you can change it. When you do that, you can do anything. Because it's your mind, not your muscles, that powers the pedals.

MIND TRAINING FOR CYCLISTS

The Mental Cyclist has three elements:

STRUCTURED LEARNING - a 300-page exploration of the cycling mindset. Learn how to make your mind work for you, not against you.

GUIDED JOURNALING - 30+ journal exercises. Develop deep self-awareness and become an expert in yourself.

PERSONAL CHALLENGE – commit to a thrilling cycling challenge and monitor your mental progress with a 12-week challenge tracker.

The Mental Cyclist is currently available in three book formats - a luxury 'Carbon' edition (£39 - UK only), a paperback edition (£14, worldwide) and a Kindle edition (£10, worldwide). It will also be developed as a digital course later this year.
