Shrewsbury-based wholefood business launches 'Shuupe'

For those of us who don't want a 'protein shake' - they taste horrible, right?

Or for the people who want to 'eat healthily' but don't want to be taken out of their stride to do so...

A new product has been launched in Shropshire that you really need to check out!

Who wants to make their own smoothies or faff around just before bed with 'overnight oats'?

For the busy mum, the hectic businesswoman, the health-conscious family, the time-poor, the calory watchers, the vegans, the nutritionists and almost anyone else we can think of...

You've now got Shuupe!

The concept behind Shuupe was the work of the founder, Harry Jacobs, a local Shrewsbury resident and keen cyclist, health enthusiast and all-round nice chap!

"It all came about because I wanted a breakfast that was quick, easy, and healthy, but I couldn't find anything that fit the bill. Quick and easy yes, but healthy no. Many products claim to be healthy, but when you look at the ingredients list, you realise they're not. Also, I’m not a fan of protein shakes. I’m a big believer in a balanced diet, including all the major food groups. So I decided to make my own. I did some market research and after having a very positive response, I made the decision to go for it." remarks Harry confidently.

We first tried Shuupe around 18 months ago when Harry was selling locally to friends and family and we've been hooked ever since and it's great to see Shuupe expand with their own Shrewsbury office, warehouse and small, friendly team.

2021 was a breakthrough year for Shuupe, with stalls at Ludlow Food Festival, BBC Good Food Show and sales increasing month on month and there are exciting plans ahead for 2022 to get on the shelves of local Shropshire stockists as well as many more events and pop-ups.

You really need to taste this product!

"We have had overwhelmingly positive feedback from everyone who has tasted Shuupe at our events or via the growing network of Shuuperstars (the term we use to refer to our loyal customers!) and it's such a great feeling seeing people young and old and from all walks of life enjoy Shuupe and get on board with what we're trying to create!" said Harry.

If you want to learn more about Shuupe, you can visit their website www.shuupe.com or head over to their new office adjacent to the Dana Prison, 7 The Dana, Shrewsbury, SY1 2HP and meet the team in person - when we visited we were treated to a free sample shake (which resulted in us buying 3 bags of the yummy chocolate!).
