Thuasne UK Make Mobiderm Pads and Bandages for Oedema and Fibrosis Available on Prescription
The UK arm of Thuasne, the worldwide manufacturer of medical products, has made the core component of their innovative and successful Mobiderm garments available on prescription in the UK, available from 1st February 2022.
Mobiderm is a medical device made up of foam cubes encased between two non-woven bandages. The technology, in bandage or pad forms, can be used under compressive bandaging or under form fitting garments. Due to the difference in pressure created between the support area of the cubes and their surroundings, it helps lymphatic fluid flow and optimises drainage efficacy*.
Mobiderm Pads and Bandages are indicated in the treatment of acute or chronic oedemas (e.g.: lymphoedema) and for the softening of fibrotic tissues.
