British brand, aiming to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, is crowdfunding through Crowdcube

Press Release, Birmingham, 18 September 2019

Try EV, is focused on accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in the UK market to support an aspiration for a sustainable, clean air future. Currently valued at £1,500,000, Try EV aims to raise £150,000 through an equity crowdfunding campaign to take the promising business to the next level.

Try EV have developed what they believe to be a unique solution to increase Sales of EVs though their own bespoke retail platform, whilst addressing the lack of education regarding electric vehicles and the misunderstandings surrounding their benefits to the environment we live in.

Try EV’s platform enables customers and businesses to research, compare deals, select and customise their ideal EV solution. The immersive experience educates the user right from the driver’s seat during a series of test drives with the latest EV models. Challenging the traditional one car, one make dealership format, Try EV plan to open their first physical store later this year. Try EV current drive is to establish TryEV as the go to place for all EV procurement requirements.

"We're on a mission to transform the way people think about electric vehicles and buy them. Through combining a little excitement, education and convenience, our goal is to disrupt what has become a stale industry and improve air quality for generations to come." - shares Try EV’s Founder, Gerard Chaustow.

EV personal transport has the greater number of products on the market at present and therefore offers the biggest range of consumer choice. Commercial vehicles are in the B2B offering, and are bought as an asset to the business or company, and such are purchased in a different way. At the inception of TryEV there were only a handful of manufacturers that can supply EV platform vehicles at the price break point and serviceability of a comparable IC powered vehicle. With fleet vehicles often requiring low procurement costs, and continuous 24/7 road use the EVs on offer at that time were not viable. This is however changing with car battery and motor technology advancing at the rate it is, there are now several options available to the commercial vehicle operator and TryEV will be offering a greater portfolio in the coming months and weeks.

Currently, Try EV is privately live for a small circle of investors on the UK’s leading equity crowdfunding platform - Crowdcube. Through this funding round, all interested parties have the chance to buy shares in a rapidly growing EV business.
