Voquent To Give One Lucky Student A Career In Voice-Over
Voquent scholarship winner to receive prize which includes everything they need to get a start in the voice-over industry.
Voquent, a leader in multilingual voice actor casting and audio-visual production services to the creative industries, has announced its 2019 Voquent Voice Acting Scholarship will close for entries on 30th September 2019.
"Students are running out of time to apply,” remarked Al Black, co-founder of Voquent. “This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, and a serious chance for the winning student to be the next voice-over you hear on a TV commercial, or the voice of a character in a video game or animation.”
According to Voquent’s Managing Director, Miles Chicoine, who recently appeared on the popular Marketplace podcast and the BBC News programme Business Live. The rise in voice-over work opportunities is due to the globalization of the internet and the availability of technology for studios at home which has really made it possible for a lot more people to get into the voice-acting industry.
"The voice-over industry is all around us. It’s on TV, on our phones and in the apps we use each day. It’s a growing industry, but it’s not easy for talent to know where to begin.” said Miles. “At Voquent, we identified the scholarship as an opportunity to provide a genuine and lasting opportunity, and to discover and nurture raw talent.”
To apply for the scholarship, students are asked to post a video on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #VoquentScholarship2019. The post should include their own voice-over. Applications are open to any student attending an accredited college or university worldwide.
