11-03-2019 Don’t miss The Big Thank You Event at the btc

The BIG Thank You Event is back at the Business and Technology Centre (btc) in Stevenage, with a brand new health and wellbeing theme. Taking place on April 4th 8:30am – 11:30am, this event is still entirely free, aiming to thank our btc clients and the local small business community in Stevenage for supporting their local economy and for working with us. It’s a chance to meet some new faces and re-connect with existing ones, network, enjoy a free breakfast and listen to expert speakers talk about health and wellbeing in the workplace and there’s so much more!

The event aims to help individuals improve their own wellbeing in the workplace and support those around them to do the same, as part of a community. Running your own business can often seem isolating and make people feel alone during hard times, which can have a negative impact on your mental health. So, we want to start to bring together the small business community in a new way and showing them that they are not alone. This year At The Big Thank You Event we will be collecting charitable donations in support of Mind in Mid Herts.

This completely free networking event offers attendees breakfast, networking, the opportunity to pitch their businesses and attend expert presentations from established health and wellbeing professionals on a range of hot-topic subjects, relevant to the small business community. The opportunities provided by the event for networking with like-minded individuals is run by the btc in Stevenage and not only gives business opportunities but also insights into the health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Senior Marketing Executive, Daniel Evans from Wenta (managing agent of the btc) said: “It’s certain to be a fantastic event at the btc on April 4th it’s becoming more and more prevalent in the media discussions on health and wellbeing in the workplace so offering a whole morning on the subject helps the clients at the btc and local businesses of Stevenage to get a head start into what they can do to help.”

Btc Centre Manager, Jo Kiely from Wenta (managing agent of the btc) said: “The Big Thank You Event is a much anticipated event here at the btc, this year most of all. Health and Wellbeing is a subject that can sometimes be overlooked in the workplace, due to lack of knowledge and awareness. It’s a great opportunity for us to highlight this and offer support for our clients, as well as educating ourselves on how to deal with situations that arise.
