Start and Grow Programme Provides Support For New Businesses
There are currently 5.5 million businesses in the UK, 95% of which are classified as micro businesses and employ less than 10 people. However over 50% of these new businesses fail within their first 4 years.
In the hope of increasing the numbers of businesses that survive and prosper, the government have introduced a new initiative to support and help new business start-ups.
Wenta will be delivering the new ‘Start and Grow’ programme in Bedford, Enfield, Luton and Stevenage. The initiative is funded by the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), which has invested nearly £3 billion to help businesses in England grow and create over 100,000 new jobs.
Wenta offers a package of support to new start-up businesses intending employ one or more staff members. This package, worth £5000 over three years, includes:
• One to one business advice
• Online business support via live chat
• Business skills training and workshops
• Business planning
• Mentoring
• Support for sourcing financial investment
Wenta has over 30 years’ experience of helping small businesses start and grow. In the last year alone they have provided business advice and support to over 1200 people looking to start their own business. 560 of these clients went on to start their own business and 90% were still in business 12 months later.
