New Park Court Chambers Announces Landmark Sponsorship of What Could I Be?
New Park Court Chambers, a leading set of Barristers in the North East of England, is delighted to announce a landmark sponsorship of What Could I Be?
What Could I Be? (WCIB) is a publisher and social enterprise providing accessible career ideas information for young people and their parents to encourage opportunity, promote social mobility and overcome gender stereotypes.
Following a successful pilot in Scotland which saw the free distribution of 400,000 copies across three editions to over 400 secondary schools, New Park Court Chambers has become WCIB’s first English regional member and its contribution saw the delivery of the first edition – Law & Society – into Yorkshire and Humberside’s secondary schools.
The sponsorship is part of New Park Court Chambers ongoing commitment to equality and inclusion.
Jason Pitter, QC, Head of Chambers in Leeds explains, “The law, like any other sector, has an important role in fuelling career ideas and opportunities, removing obstacles and building communities. What Could I Be? is proving to be highly effective in this area by taking action rather than merely talking about it.”
Dr Jane Dennehy, co-founder and director of What Could I Be? says “We’re thrilled to be working with New Park Court. There is an incredibly strong alignment between our two organisational commitments to help drive and accelerate social change.”
What Could I Be? has a variety of sponsorship and membership initiatives to ensure individuals, organisations and businesses of all sizes can support and invest in the delivery of these free career resources, locally, regionally and nationally.
New Park Court will be hosting a launch event on the Wednesday 21st October 2015 in Leeds to share the WCIB community vision.
