Yorkshire Win for Women's Magazine Editor who Picks-Up Top Media Award!

Editor-in-Chief of award-winning Yorkshire Women’s Life magazine Dawn-Maria France has taken the top media prize at The English Women’s (North) Awards.

Dawn-Maria France is the Editor-in-chief of a wildly successful women’s magazine, Yorkshire Women’s Life. She is an award-winning and accomplished journalist. Dawn-Maria is a travel writer, children’s author and broadcaster, who is passionate about women’s rights, equality and diversity.

The English Women’s Awards (North), took place in Manchester. The awards acknowledged the achievements of British women including female entrepreneurs, charity founders amongst other female trail-blazer, and celebrated successful female leaders.

Commenting on winning the award for service to the media including journalism, Dawn-Maria France said: “I’m so excited and feel so proud to have received this award. It’s brilliant to be acknowledged by my peers. It’s good to have an award ceremony such as The English Women’s Award’s North which supports the female leadership pipeline.”

The English Women’s Awards, North, took place on the 19th of March in Manchester at The Mercure hotel. The evening also helped raise funds for its official partner Smart Works, an organisation which empowers women in need by providing them with attire, advice , training and confidence that they need to unlock their potential and become successful in the workplace.
