Award-winning support for Essex entrepreneurs
A local business coach has been granted Senior Partner status with global firm ActionCOACH. Sean Purcell, from Maldon, has been awarded the title after showing the commitment and initiative to help business owners in his local community become more profitable and efficient.
After running his own restaurant when he was just 24 years old and facing the challenges of business ownership, Sean initially set a focus on working with millennials. Now 37, Sean will build a firm continuing his work with younger entrepreneurs but also opening up his coaching to business owners of all ages in his local area. He brings them ActionCOACH’s proven business growth strategies, taking their businesses from good to great.
“Throughout my whole career, I’d never had anybody who understood what it’s like to grow up in this generation. I wanted to become a champion for budding entrepreneurs: they need someone who did it just like them and can learn from my successes and mistakes. The Senior Partner status means I can build a team of Action Coaches and reach more business owners at various stages within their businesses.”
Sean knows all too well how rocky the road of business ownership can be but believes failure shouldn’t even be on the cards.
“A lot of my clients get to a point in their business where they’re unsure of which direction to take it next. That’s when I step in. I work with them on either a one-to-one basis or in a group-coaching environment, harness their potential, support their learning and planning, and guide them towards taking back full control of their business.”
Sean’s firm currently works with 250+ business owners in Essex and is hoping to double that number by 2020. His clients are often winning awards too – most recently HayPigs!, a guinea pigs accessories company, won Best Retailer at the Business Excellence Awards. Sean also won the Best Client Results Award for East Anglia at ActionCOACH’s annual conference in January. No wonder he was top of the list for the Senior Partner accolade.
