Bühler & Co is celebrating International Women’s Day

East London eatery Bühler & Co is celebrating International Women’s Day.

The event is held every year on 8th March and in 2019 has taken on the campaign theme #BalanceforBetter.

The event enjoys global recognition, and its profile has risen sharply in recent years. The campaign calls for greater gender balance worldwide, and its theme will run throughout the year. In some nations, the day is a public holiday, and the occasion has been acknowledged in some form since before the first world war.

Specifically, Bühler & Co, set up by owners Meg and Rosie Bühler, is cheering on female entrepreneurs on 8th March.

Owner Meg Bühler commented: “We’re thrilled to mark the day, and we’re keen to support female entrepreneurship because of course we’re two women running a business so it’s important to us. We need each other, female customers, suppliers and others, so we’re delighted to be celebrating women.”

Bühler & Co serves imaginative food which takes its inspiration from all over the world, with vegan and gluten-free options on offer. There’s also a strong focus on using local suppliers for products such as coffee, juices, sodas, beer and milk.

The daytime menu incorporates an array of breakfast dishes, quinoa cakes, gelato and more. Meanwhile, in the evening, until 10pm, specialities include the house limoncello and small sharing dishes such as halloumi fries with aubergine yoghurt and pomegranate.

Daytime bookings are available for groups of at least 10, and pre-ordering is essential. In the evenings, reservations can be made for parties of all sizes.
