New Gender Equality Website - launched today!
The brand new website https://www.tail-of-the-tigress.co.uk/ is officially launched today.
It was created, developed and is managed thanks to the professional expertise of Lindsey Harris of M35 Web Design, with photographs by M35 Photography and graphics by the talented Rachel Lawston of Lawston Design.
It is based on the book - "Tail of the Tigress - Views on the Road to Gender Equality" by David deVire
Gender equality issues are always newsworthy; they are controversial, they engender debate. About the author:-
A wealth of in-depth academic research aside, David deVire was inspired to write the book as a result of over twenty years worth of conversations with a diverse spectrum of women about their life-experiences, aspirations and fears.
His back-story includes having worked in academia for over a decade - lecturing and teaching in tertiary and secondary education, contributing to Government sponsored educational research and moderating for the University of Oxford examination board. Before that he had been an armed Met Police Officer with duties including Royal, political and diplomatic protection as well as crime. He was then diagnosed with MS. Much later, he was the technical person behind the introduction of face-painting, a property developer, designed and produced an innovative motor catamaran and most recently when the banking crisis hit in 2008, and through no fault of his own, went from living an affluent lifestyle to being made a homeless bankrupt within weeks - a situation which was to last for six years and included his living in the back of a van. It was these last experiences which gave him the time and motivation to use his earlier research as the basis upon which to create his book 'Tail of the Tigress – Views on the Road to Gender Equality'.
