Deuce Studio was privileged to work with new Italian baked goods company, Piccolo’s, helping them design their branding and creating a unique identity which is winning over new customers. In a crowded market, Piccolo’s needed to stand out with packaging and advertising which does justice to the quality of the authentic Italian baked produce they sell. Deuce Studio was able to inject something new and fun into their branding, reflecting the start-up's ambition and zest for life with a modern twist on traditional Italian design.
Explaining their thinking behind the new branding, owner of Deuce Studio, Jonny Aldrich, said: “The challenge here was to reflect the Piccolo team’s love of their produce in the packaging. Piccolo’s needed to become an approachable, exciting and youthful brand, one which was packed with personality and as much flavour as their products. We wanted customers to see Piccolo’s as an affordable and family-friendly brand.
“We also wanted to capture the spirit of great Italian food, so we took the Italian theme and gave it our own unique, modern slant. By adopting a playful tone of voice, strong colours and the memorable tagline ‘Enjoy Italia’, we’ve created a brand which simply bursts with energy and really stands out on the shelves. The Piccolo team love it and customers certainly find themselves drawn to it.”
Piccolo’s sells a range of Italian nibbles and snacks, including breadsticks and flavoured crostini. The packaging and advertising created by Deuce Studio make use of strong and vibrant colours, with a playful typeface, quirky layouts and beautiful images of the produce. With catchy taglines for each product range, the marketing materials created by the team at Deuce Studio really do make Piccolo’s stand out as a brand.
