Young musician launches YouTube collaboration with The Voice star as remedy to COVID-19 lockdown

Young musician Henry Chauhan has teamed up with a former semi-finalist on the Romanian version of ITV talent show The Voice, for his first online-exclusive video collaboration.

Drummer Henry and Romanian vocalist Arthur Horeanu, who appeared on The Voice in Romania in 2018, have launched a cover version of Nickleback hit ‘How You Remind Me’, with Henry having been inspired by online collaborations from global stars including Brian May and Gary Barlow during the COVID-19 lockdown period.

The success of such online collaborations prompted Henry to reach out to other young musicians, with the aim of creating music and inspiring others to write, record, produce and promote their own music during self-isolation.

Henry said: “Hundreds of gigs and festivals have already been cancelled this year due to coronavirus, so there is an opportunity and appetite for new music to be delivered online for people to enjoy. This is a great chance for any young and aspiring musicians to share their music to a massive audience across the world, whether alone or as part of an online collaboration or even a band.

“You don’t need to be leaving your house to be creating and promoting music, everything can be done online to great success. It’s a really exciting opportunity for musicians to get their music heard and shared, and to create something for people to enjoy during this difficult time.”

Henry’s first collaboration with Arthur Horeanu went live on his YouTube channel this week (April 26) and has already received hundreds of views and great feedback.

He remains inspired to continue reaching out to other musicians to produce digital collaborations of his favourite songs and to even create a number of totally online bands while people are unable to meet in person.
