Inspire Me Travel's New Wildlife Pledge

The Pandemic has created numerous changes in our lives and has encouraged many of us to view life with a different perspective. One such change has been how we regard and connect to nature and to our environment.

The team at Inspire Me Travel have developed a further interrelation to the protection of the environment in a pledge to become more eco-friendly and promote travel to become integrated with wildlife.

Inspire Me Travel is therefore proud to be part of the World Animal Protection campaign Join The Pod, in a bid to end the captivity of dolphins and promote the viewing of wildlife in their natural habitat, where they live wild and free supporting the surrounding ecosystem. Along with this the company is in support of the goals of Empty the Tanks to end captivity and conserve the oceans to provide a safe and healthy wild environment where ocean communities can thrive.

To further support this, Inspire Me Travel has added new destinations to their portfolio to encourage the viewing of natural landscapes and wildlife, with a main feature on the Azores. The Azores are located in the Atlantic Ocean inbetween the east coast of North America and Portugal. Made up of 9 volcanic islands all offering unique and breath taking scenery; The Azores are like no other destination. It is in fact a geological hotspot, with 4 islands having protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserves, and one of the best places in the world to see marine wildlife . One third of sperm whales reside or migrate to the Azores making it an ideal destination for whale watching. Visitors also get the chance to swim among wild dolphins with sustainable tourism focussed Tour Operators. It has in fact never been easier to visit the Azores from the UK as there are now direct routes from London, whereas in the past all air travel would be via Portugal.

Inspire Me Travel therefore aims to create further partnerships with charities to encourage sustainable travel and invoke a new era of integrated responsible travel with a connectivity to wildlife.
