How a small shoe restoration business is beating the coronavirus threat

Many businesses in the UK came forward with innovative ideas to help beat the coronavirus economic meltdown. One of them is ShoeSpa, an ethical shoe and bag restoration brand, located in Kings Cross in London.

They promote sustainability and creativity by encouraging people to restore their favourite shoes, bags and leather items, instead of buying new ones every season.

The coronovirus pandemic affected their business already and as retail business they worry about the future. During the coronavirus outbreak they try to make it easy for all our customers by promoting a courier service and arranging the courier pick up and delivery for them - customers do not have to do it.

New service - ozonation:

They have also offered a new service, ozonation, which cleans shoes and leather items thoroughly from viruses, bacteria, fungi and other pathogens, and it has proven popular. Ozonation is a technique used, for example, in hospitals, to disinfect. Ozonation of leather gloves and jackets has suddenly become very popular and they think it is because of the coronovirus.

ShoeSpa's CEO, Paul Kaniuk says: ''We always try to find something positive and offer this positive attitude to our customers. We think it is very important to be creative, both for our customers, and for our business, and businesses must find new ways of meetings customers' needs during this difficult time otherwise they can face closure. We do hope that the government will come with more initiatives to help businesses thrive in these volatile times''.
