The environment is not our most pressing concern!

Martin Rothery has been working within the mental health sector helping people with all levels of issues with physical, mental and spiritual health. He is the founder and Creator of Sanomentology, a program for helping people to resolve their issues.

He has this to say:

"The environment and saving our planet is not our most pressing issue.

There is a bigger one, and one that will fuel the demise of the environment and the rest of our existence as we know it.

The more pressing issue is that of our mental health, not just as individuals but as a species.

Physical, mental, and spiritual health are all suffering at a global level, and it's becoming a vicious, self sustaining cycle.

This is a plight that is plaguing every country, every race, every class, every nation. Rich and poor suffer alike, and effective help almost impossible to get access to.

The environment issue is one that is being played out as a political game on a global stage, alongside many other global situations; energy, finance, recourses etc.

This is having a drip down effect on the general population. General anxiety and depression is becoming more commonplace. Addictions as coping mechanisms are becoming more widespread. Suicide, self harm, and other issues are rising globally.

This general discourse is played out in almost dismissive levels by socially driven substitutes such as in the worries of the way we look, the things we own, what others think of us. This issue is accelerating exponentially with each new generation.

The average person cares more about the menial things than they do about the big picture. And while this is happening, the global game continues to wreck our world.

Until our physical, mental, and spiritual health is prioritised, this cycle will continue on an everlasting downward spiral, a maelstrom dragging all of us blindly down into a bottomless pit of despair.

Our own healing is paramount to the healing of the world. A focus on our own mental, physical and spiritual health will result in the whole world being able to direct the wasted energy onto the larger issues. Once we are able to heal ourselves, then we can focus on healing the world.

Until then we are playing a futile game."

About Sanomentology

I am Martin Rothery, and would like to welcome you to this site. I am a man with a mission. My interest has always been in the universe, seeking answers to the big (and small) questions. for over 38 years I have researched and pondered the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. I have studied theology, science, metaphysics, philosophy, psychology, and much more, seeking the truths that lie somewhere across them all. The problem with this type of research is that one question answered always leads to ten more questions. Many of these questions lead back to the design and makeup of Human Beings, about what makes us tick. Inevitably, this lead me to the world of therapy, especially Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Counselling, and Hypnotherapy. And that's where I started to get pissed off! As with many different arenas of knowledge, the therapy world has proved to me to be an ideology, a dogma. The majority believe they are right and everyone else is wrong, despite most of it being the same principles, principles that have barely advanced or evolved in the last 300 years. And these people are training others to work with vulnerable and desperate people, with no real awareness of what they are doing, nor the damage they could cause. This realisation and frustration sparked a fire inside me. With my knowledge, my expanse of information from various disciplines, and my own determination, I made it my mission to create a single series of programs designed to bring skills that have been developed over millennia together into one place and to share that knowledge and use it to help people in ways that have been previously unavailable. I made it my mission to create the ultimate in therapeutic intervention and change work. And to deliver it to my clients, and train others to do the same, safely and ethically. And that mission is the root of the Sanomentology series of programs.
