Wenta’s CEO, Ed Jordan, said: “This petition is ready for signing by as many people as possible and 10,000 signatures are needed to even just get a response from Government, and 100,000 signatures are needed for a debate to take place on this in Parliament. Through our combined efforts, working with partners, suppliers, clients, stakeholders and other key contacts - across all of our services - we believe that we can make this happen!”

We know that many #SMEs need additional financial support, now more than ever.
We know many are not eligible for the reliefs put forward by Government so far.
We need MORE #cashgrants for them to survive & for central Gov to realise the need for them to thrive.
THE ECONOMIC CASE FOR INVESTING MORE IN SMALL BUSINESSES NOW:
There’s a strong economic case for supporting & investing in more support for SMEs now. The short & medium returns on Corporation Tax, PAYE & outflow in unemployment support would outweigh the immediate term cost. It makes more sense to invest in additional cash grants for small businesses now & make an economic return later, than it would to provide no more assistance now & be left with fewer small businesses who are tomorrow’s medium & large businesses.

• ‘Get Enterprising’, this is a free, business growth support programme delivered by Wenta and funded by Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership to enable early stage businesses to go on to access further support provision through Hertfordshire Growth Hub. #GEHerts
• Wenta is the largest enterprise agency in Herts and Beds and second largest enterprise agency in England. Wenta provides free start-up advice and training workshops to pre-starts, start-ups and small growing businesses. They also own and manage a number of business centres, comprising of workshop units and offices with a combined space of over 100,000 square feet, let on monthly licence terms to small businesses.
• Wenta work in partnership with a range of organisations to provide business advice and support to start-ups, new and existing businesses across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and North London. Services include: one-to-one business advice (online and face to face), training and skills development workshops and online support via Wenta’s business information library, Business Bookshelf.
• Wenta run a series of co-working spaces named ‘The Collaboration Station’, formerly ‘My Incubator’. These spaces are located at The Business & Technology Centre in Stevenage, The Wenta Business Centre in Watford, The Enterprise Centre in Potters Bar and The Wenta Business Centre in Enfield. These co-working hubs are designed to help entrepreneurs at their starting point offering new business owners’ access to 6 months of free access to hot-desking facilities, an on-site business advisor and workshops as well as networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs. These facilities also accommodate desk space for a range of individuals wanting to collaborate with others, including established business employees looking for somewhere to work away from the office.
