Hippo Mobility hires new Director of Operations and Client Support

Essex-based healthcare transportation business, Hippo Mobility, is pleased to welcome Sharon Williams-Thorp as its new Director of Operations and Client Support.

Sharon joins Hippo Mobility with a wealth of experience in business development, call centre management, operations and operational consultancy. Her background encompasses insurance companies, telecommunications, recruitment and NHS service providers, with a CV that boasts significant achievements in performance enhancement and cost-cutting change.

At Hippo Mobility, Sharon will undertake the leadership of the business' day-to-day operations and compliance. Her role also encompasses that of a community manager, helping the business to offer the best possible customer support to elderly, vulnerable and disabled customers across the country, as well as supporting Hippo's other stakeholders.

Hippo Mobility, which operates across the country, provides transport for both patients and employees of the healthcare industry. Using its GPS-controlled and CCTV-monitored vehicles, along with medically-trained drivers and team members, Hippo's services include discharge transportation from NHS England hospitals, dedicated transportation for disabled people for their healthcare requirements, infection-free vehicles for transport to and from dialysis and chemotherapy appointments, GP and clinic transportation, and safe and reliable transportation of pathology samples and medical documents. Part of the UKTI's entrepreneurship programme, Hippo has worked hard to bridge the gap between taxi and ambulance services, with an approach that focuses on disability inclusion, elderly care and innovation.

Hippo Mobility CEO, Samit Biswas, said: "I am delighted to welcome Sharon to the Hippo Mobility team. Sharon brings with her a wealth of experience across multiple sectors and an incredible commitment to creating the best possible customer experience. We look forward to working with Sharon on making our operations and client support services the best they can possibly be, and we wish her a successful and long-term career with Hippo Mobility."
