Happy Days Childcare launches new mini school

Suffolk-based Happy Days Childcare is launching a new mini school for kids aged three and four, with sessions beginning in March 2019.

Sessions will take place at Happy Days’ Stradishall premises, just 11 miles from Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, and six from Haverhill, three mornings a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The owner of Happy Days, Debbie Corsby, said: “The idea is that these sessions will help our children to make a smooth transition from a nursery childcare setting to ‘big’ school. With that in mind, the emphasis will be clearly on early literacy and Maths, plus we’ll also be teaching a lot of communication skills in the Mini School.”

A qualified teacher, who is also an experienced and trained Early Years childcare professional, will take the sessions.

Debbie added: “The teacher will tailor the kids’ activities to suit individual children, and will also take care to ensure the children have plenty of fun while they’re learning!”

Happy Days is now offering the opportunity of a place at the Mini School to as many children as it can, and is asking parents to get in touch to book a free trial session.

The childcare provider offers its services flexibly in a friendly, nurturing environment, so can help if, for example, parents work shifts, and it has a full-time teacher plus highly qualified staff.

Happy Days firmly believes that giving a child a strong foundation during their early years will result in emotional and academic success later in life.
